ورشة العمل بدأت بشرح كيفية استخدام أدوات التصوير وطريقة إجراء المقابلات مع الناس وإشعارهم بالراحة أمام الكاميرا. المشاركين في الورشة خرجوا لمكان تجمع قريب من سوق في دمستان وأجروا مقابلات مع بعض الأشخاص المتجمعين حول التطور الحضري في القرية. اللقطات ستجمع  وتحرر لصناعة فيلم وثائقي عن قرية دمستان

10th to 11th January 2015

The documentary workshop started with an explanation of how to use the shooting equipment and how to interview people while making them comfortable in front of the cameras. The workshop group headed out to a gathering space close to a market at Damistan and interviewed people gathered there about the urban development of the village. The footage will be compiled and edited to create a final documentary on Damistan Village.

توجد العديد من أماكن التجمعات في الشاطئ مخصصة للرجال ولكن لا يوجد أي مكان تجمع للسيدات. ولذلك كانت هناك حاجة لبناء مكان تجمع للسيدات فتم تشييد مقعد قريب من الأطفال في الملعب حتى تتمكن السيدات من الجلوس عليه ومراقبة أطفالهن ومشاهدة البحر في آن واحد. المقعد شيد بطريقة الاستدامة المستخدمة في منتجع جنوت البيئي في عمان

Constructing a Bench Workshop

There are a few gathering areas on the beach dedicated for men, but there was no gathering areas for women. Therefore it was decided to build a bench close to the children playground for women to sit in, watch their kids and have a view to the sea. The bench was built using sustinable building techniques that were used in the Junoot Eco resort in Oman.

طلب الأطفال الموجودين في الشاطئ من المنظمين في موانئ ورشة عمل رسم خلال فترة آخر معرض فني. قام المنظمون بجلب دفاتر الرسم وأقلام وألوان وقام ناصر الزياني - الذي كانت أعماله معروضة وقتها - بقيادة الورشة. رغم أنه لم يتم التخطيط لهذه الورشة ألا أنها لاقت نجاحا كبيرا

Drawing Workshop

During the last exhibition the children at the beach approached the organizers at Mawane and demanded a drawing workshop. The organizers got some sketchbooks, pencils and colors and Nasser Alzayani, the exhibiting artist at the time, conducted the workshop. It was a great success even though the workshop was improvised and not part of the innitial plan of Mawane.
